Rock the Vote is teaming up with AT&T for mobile action at the Iowa caucuses. We’ve got ideas for what you can do to Rock the Caucus with the help of your mobile phone – see below - and we want to hear from you, too. Leave your ideas in the comments below.
Send in your caucus videos & photos
Got a cell phone? You’re set. Join the Rock the Caucus Film Crew by taking videos and photos of your friends at the caucuses. Send them to iowa (at) rockthevote.com and we’ll post them up on this website and on the Facebook event page. The best videos and photos will be entered to win prizes – stay tuned!
Text your friends at noon on Jan. 3rd
At noon on January 3rd, join thousands of other Iowa high school seniors and send a quick text message to 8 friends reminding them to get to their caucus that night. Let them know that the Republican caucus starts at 7pm and the Democratic caucus starts at 6:30pm, and that they can find their caucus location at rockthecaucus.com. If your phone supports it you can also create a reminder or calendar event to show up at noon on the 3rd, so that you don’t forget either.
Update your Facebook status during the caucus
Did you know that you can update your Facebook status using your cell phone? First, add your cell phone to your Facebook account if you haven’t already. Then text “@” followed by your status update to FBOOK (32665) on caucus night and let all your friends know how it’s going. More info here.
